The Foreign Affairs Committee of the US House of Representatives supported a bill that provides for the transfer of part of frozen Russian assets to Ukraine.
The document was supported by 40 legislators, two voted against, and provides, in particular, for “the allocation of additional assistance to Ukraine when using assets confiscated from the Central Bank of the Russian Federation and other sovereign assets of the Russian Federation.”
The bill also prohibits the return of funds to Russian entities subject to sanctions “until Russia withdraws from Ukraine and agrees to pay it compensation.”
