Rosalynn Carter, wife of former President Jimmy Carter, died on November 19 at her home in Plains, Georgia. She was 96 years old.
The Carter Center in Atlanta announced his death on Sunday. Recall that in May a statement was made that Rosalynn Carter had dementia and, in November, that she was sent to hospice.
Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter were married for more than 77 years, the longest presidential marriage in American history, and spent their final months together at their home in the southwest Georgia town of Plains. In February, the former president decided to stop treatment for an aggressive form of skin cancer, melanoma.
