In its column Biden again compares Russian President Vladimir Putin’s actions in Ukraine to Hamas attacks on Israel.
“Both Putin and Hamas are fighting to wipe neighboring democracies off the map. Both Putin and Hamas hope to destroy regional stability and integration and take advantage of the resulting disorder. The United States cannot and will not allow this to happen. For our national security and for the good of the world,” Biden said in the WP article.
In his article, the American president also says that the country “stands with the brave Ukrainians who defend their freedom and their homeland.”
“We are providing them with weapons and economic assistance to stop Putin’s quest for conquest before the conflict spreads further,” Biden wrote.
Joe Biden also expressed his support for Israel in the fight against Hamas, adding that the Palestinians deserve the right to have their own state.
The head of the White House also condemned the manifestations of anti-Semitism in the United States and called for combating any manifestation of hate in racial, ethnic and religious mail.
